DCTPN Launches New Apprenticeship Vacancy Map – Opening Doors to Opportunity

The Devon & Cornwall Training Providers Network (DCTPN) is proud to announce the launch of its new Apprenticeship Vacancy Map, designed to make finding the right apprenticeship easier than ever.

The interactive map allows individuals to search the latest apprenticeship vacancies across the region by sector, level and vacancy type, giving users a clear and accessible view of opportunities close to home.

Developed in partnership with pbmedia, this new resource reflects DCTPN’s continued investment in supporting people into work, advancing education across the region, and helping young people take their first steps into meaningful careers. By bringing live apprenticeship opportunities together in one place, the map helps individuals explore high-quality pathways into employment while supporting local employers to connect with new talent.

Paul Burton, owner at pbmedia, said: “Apprenticeships are absolutely vital for the region’s workforce of tomorrow – and there is clearly a need for an easy place to be able to see an up-to-date listing of opportunities in the South West at a glance. We hope this new feature fills that gap in a really simple way and provides the next generation with a tiny bit of help taking the next step on the way to an apprenticeship.

“We’ve supported the work of the Devon and Cornwall Training Providers Network for several years now through its website and this interactive listing of apprenticeship opportunities feels like a really useful and natural extension to the website – we hope it’s popular!”

With many young people about to take their GCSE and A Level exams, the launch of this resource is perfectly timed. Sharron Robbie, CEO of the DCTPN, said: “The opportunities for young people leaving school are many and varied, with apprenticeships being just one of the routes they can take.

“We see the vacancy map, which updates in real-time, as providing a great resource to those looking to start their journey into the world of work – showing the most up-to-date vacancies and allowing for individuals to gain more information on each role advertised, with just one click they can even apply!

“Super easy to use, we see the map as an additional careers tool, not only for job seekers but also for those who support them such as careers leaders in schools and within youth hubs and also Jobcentre work coaches.”
