It’s almost that time again! The Devon Business Show is being held at the Plymouth Life Centre on Wednesday 15 October and promises to be an incredibly busy event with a host of employers in attendance.
Prior to the Business Show opening its doors, there will be a Skills & Workforce Breakfast held at Plymouth Argyle’s Home Park Stadium – featuring a great line-up of speakers, the opportunity to network and, of course, breakfast!
The Devon & Cornwall Training Providers Network (DCTPN) is delighted to be presenting at the breakfast event, which is being supported by the Devon & Somerset LSIP.
With more than 150 people already signed up to attend, the event is proving super popular, and attendees can look forward to hearing from the Devon Chamber of Commerce, Department for Education, Devon, Plymouth & Torbay Careers Hub, and Kevin Baker (immigration and sponsor licence specialist).

DCTPN CEO, Sharron Robbie MBE will be providing an update on the skills and training landscape, with a real focus on how employers can develop and grow their workforce through apprenticeships, higher-level skills and bootcamps, and more.
Sharron will also be providing employers with the opportunity to access the DCTPN’s new Business Skills Directory, which aims to break down some of the myths around training whilst clearly signposting employers to the wide range of providers and their offer that exists across the region.
Ronnie Carter, LSIP Executive and Project Manager, said: “We are delighted to be part of the Devon Business Show and to open the day with the Skills & Workforce Networking Breakfast.
“It’s a privilege to share the stage with expert speakers, including Melanie Collins, Skills England’s National Skills Policy Lead, and to collaborate with Sharron Robbie and DCTPN, whose insight into the local skills landscape is invaluable.
“This session will showcase the power of true collaboration between business, skills, careers, and employment organisations, while highlighting the practical opportunities available here in Devon for our businesses and communities.”
