The Department for Education (DfE) has published the Apprenticeship Funding Rules for 2025-26.
This is the first time that they have published a final and complete version of the rules without releasing a prior draft version.
The rules provide much needed detail on a number of changes that were announced at the start of the year, including:
- Detail on shorter duration apprenticeships
- Foundation apprenticeships
- Changes to English & Maths
- Update on off-the-job-training
Providers and employers alike have been waiting for the Funding Rules to be released, and there will be plenty of staff from across the provider base taking time over the next few days to pour over the 100-plus pages of rules and regulations that govern apprenticeship funding.
The Devon & Cornwall Training Providers Network (DCTPN) is working with network members Strategic Development Network (SDN) to offer a free online funding workshop that will look at the headline changes and provide providers with support in preparing for any changes being implemented. In addition, there will be opportunity to access a further deep-dive session with a network discount on offer.
