Jo has worked in the third sector since 2009, prior to that she worked in the private recruitment and training sectors. Her role with Westward Pathfinder progressed to Skills Support Manager in 2011, managing the SFA/ESF funded Programmes for Unemployed. At this time, she also became a member of the Senior Management team.

Her role further progressed to Head of Operations and Performance overseeing and developing welfare to work, employment and skills training programmes including Work Programme, Community Work Placements, National Careers Service and Adult Skills Budget.

In April 2016, she was appointed CEO through an open competitive recruitment process replacing the retiring CEO George Curry, who had led the organisation since its beginnings in 1994.

Jo brings a wealth of experience to the DCTPN Board, in particular she understands and is committed to quality issues, and is passionate about supporting those with who may be seen as being furthest away from the workplace.

Appointed to the DCTPN Board in January 2017, Jo brings a wealth of experience to the Board and the Network.
